In a high-energy showdown at the University of Technology Faculty Football Championship, the Mechanical Engineering team faced off against the Petroleum Technology Department team in a match that kept fans on the edge of their seats. The event, held under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Ahmed M. H. Al-Ghaban, and organized by the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Professor Dr. Muhsin Nouri Hamzah, showcased fierce competition and sportsmanship.
The Mechanical Engineering team came out strong in the first half, dominating possession and creating several chances. Their efforts paid off as they netted the opening goal, taking a 1-0 lead into halftime. However, the Petroleum Technology Department team emerged from the break with a renewed sense of determination. They turned the game around with a stellar second-half performance, scoring three unanswered goals to secure a convincing 3-1 victory.
