Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering Students Visit to the Ministry of Higher Education

Under the patronage of the Dean of the Mechanical Engineering College, Professor Dr. Alaa Abdulhady Jaber, and the supervision of the Head of the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Iyad Mahmoud Salman, the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering Department organized a scientific visit for fourth-year students to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research headquarters on Monday, April 14, 2025.

The visit aimed to familiarize the students with the central air conditioning system of the Ministry building and expand their practical knowledge of the air conditioning systems used in major government buildings, in line with the practical aspects of the curriculum.

The students were accompanied on this visit by:

– Assistant Lecturer r Adnan Khudair Hussein

The visit witnessed outstanding interaction from the students, who showed great interest in the technical details and raised questions that enhanced the discussion with the technical staff specialized in the system.

This visit is part of a series of scientific activities that the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Department organizes annually. This supports the department’s efforts to link academic curricula to practical realities and enhance students’ readiness for the job market by directly exposing them to modern technologies and advanced infrastructure in public institutions
