Department of Mechanical Engineering holds a training course entitled “Preventive Maintenance Management for Industrial Equipment”

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed M. Al-Ghaban, and the supervision of the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Mohsin N. Hamzah, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center and the Industrial Advisory Council, organized a training course entitled “Preventive Maintenance Management for Industrial Equipment”.

The course was held over two days, Wednesday and Thursday, corresponding to January 22-23, 2025, in the Munir Al-Muzaffar Hall at the University of Technology, at exactly eleven o’clock in the morning. It was presented by Dr. Tareq R. Mahmood

The course aimed to introduce participants to maintenance work, its importance, preventive maintenance and its vital role in preserving industrial equipment and ensuring its continued operation with high efficiency. The course included discussions on the methods and techniques used in the field of preventive maintenance.

The course was attended by a number of faculty members and engineers from the department, which reflected the great interest in the topic and its scientific and applied importance.

The organization of this course comes within the framework of the continuous efforts of the Department of Mechanical Engineering to enhance cooperation between the academic and industrial sides, and to develop the efficiency of engineering cadres in a way that serves the scientific and economic development process.
