The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a scientific workshop titled “Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Mechanical Engineering,”

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Prof.  Dr. Ahmad M. Al-Ghaban, and the supervision of the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Mohsin N Hamzah. The workshop was organized in collaboration with the Continuing Education Center and the Industrial Advisory Council.

The workshop took place on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM in Munir Al-Mudhafar Hall at the University of Technology. It was presented by Prof. Dr. Alaa A. Jaber.

The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of artificial intelligence in the development of industrial and engineering processes, with a focus on its role in improving industrial performance and mechanical engineering applications. The workshop also featured scientific discussions between the attendees and the speaker about the latest innovations and challenges in this field.

The workshop saw the attendance of faculty members and graduate students, reflecting the great interest in the topic and its scientific and practical significance.

 Organizing this workshop is part of a series of scientific activities that the Department of Mechanical Engineering is keen to offer in order to enhance scientific research, innovation, and the development of integration between academic and practical aspects.
