The Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division Meets with Fourth-Year Students in the Automotive Engineering Department
As part of the Department of Mechanical Engineering’s efforts to enhance the quality of education and meet the requirements of national program accreditation standards, an interactive meeting was held with fourth-year students in cooperation with the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division. The meeting took place in Dr. Munir Al-Mudhaffar Hall on Sunday, April 20, 2025.
The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Sajida Faris Sabri, and attended by the Head of the Quality Division in the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Tariq Rahman Mahmoud, and several faculty members from the Department were present:
– Assistant Professor Dr. Maysoon Abdul Amir
– Assistant Professor Dr. Kazim Hassan Ali
The meeting included the distribution of a comprehensive questionnaire aimed at measuring the extent to which the seven educational objectives of the division were achieved and allowing students to express their opinions freely and transparently. The questionnaire also included sections devoted to their suggestions regarding curriculum development and enhancing the infrastructure of the department and university facilities. During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Tariq Rahman Mahmoud provided a detailed explanation to the students about the learning outcomes and educational objectives adopted in the Automotive Engineering Department, emphasizing the importance of students’ awareness of these pillars, given their pivotal role in their academic and professional development.
The meeting witnessed positive interaction from the students, who expressed a strong interest in actively participating in improving the learning environment, reflecting their awareness of the importance of their role in supporting academic development.
This meeting is an important step in the department’s ongoing efforts to achieve quality assurance and promote continuous improvement in the performance of the department and the department, contributing to achieving the goals of the academic program and enhancing its outcomes
