Visit of the Dean of the College of Engineering at the American University of Iraq – Baghdad (AUIB) to the University of Technology to Enhance Prospects for Joint Cooperation

The University of Technology welcomed an official delegation from the American University of Iraq – Baghdad (AUIB), led by Dr. Donald Plumlee, Dean of the College of Engineering. The delegation was received by Professor Dr. Ahmed Hassan Al-Ghaban, President of the University of Technology. The visit aimed to discuss avenues for academic and scientific collaboration between the two universities and to strengthen research partnerships and knowledge exchange in the fields of engineering and technology.

Accompanying the delegation during the visit was Professor Dr. Mohsin Noori Hamzah, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, along with several faculty members from the department. The visit included a tour of the laboratories and research facilities at the University of Technology, where the delegation observed the latest equipment and scientific capabilities that contribute to the development of educational and research processes.

The delegation also visited the Drone Exhibition organized by the Aircraft Engineering Branch, where students and researchers showcased a range of projects and innovations in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles. Dr. Donald Plumlee expressed his great admiration for the advanced level of the exhibition, which reflects the remarkable progress in research and development at the University of Technology.
